Change one word?
[edit]I'm wondering about the word "mistreatment" here because it doesn't seem like the right word: "In 1943, Schindler was contacted by Zionist leaders in Budapest via members of the Jewish resistance movement. He travelled to Budapest several times to report in person on Nazi mistreatment of the Jews." Elsnyc (talk) 05:19, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- What would you suggest as an alternative? Or, since we're talking about one word, you could probably just be bold and change it. DonIago (talk) 07:18, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Might I suggest 'treatment'? I believe the issue with 'mistreatment' is that it feels like a rather flippant understatement.
Some accounts say concrete factory
[edit]The article mentions Oskar Schindler's post war ownership of a factory that produced cement. However instead some of the historian's accounts refer to it as a concrete factory. The difference is that a cement factory is capital extensive. A concrete factory uses cement sand and aggregate to make value added formed products and typically are not as capital intensive. I think it more likely that it was a concrete products factory. RichardBond (talk) 10:59, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thompson says "Schindler left his wife in Argentina and returned to Germany, where he tried running a cement factory. This venture never actually began production, however." Diannaa (talk) 14:45, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
Further Reading?
[edit]I noticed that other Wikipedia Articles on rescuers have a list of further readings, should we consider adding that? Benji1207 (talk) 20:19, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- There's already a lot of books listed in the "Sources" section. Have you got any suggestions that you would like to see added in a "Further readong" section? Diannaa (talk) 22:47, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- I apologize, I guess a Sources section is enough. I just saw on a different page there was a Sources section and a Further reading section. But it's fine. Benji1207 (talk) 14:38, 26 March 2025 (UTC)

I request for John Rabe to be added to the See also section, please. 2A0A:EF40:1395:D501:990D:4C9:BBEF:C6A0 (talk) 20:27, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think that we should add that article. There's numerous such people, and we can't list them all here. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:41, 29 March 2025 (UTC)
Memorial sign in Regensburg
[edit]The shown memorial sign is out of date. The city of Regensburg already replaced it with a new sign in memory to both Oskar AND Emilie Schindler. Also the exact location/adress of this sign is Watmarkt 5, Regensburg. (I'm currently living in Regensburg and have been there numerous times.) 2003:E9:AF0F:51FF:118F:A516:1267:7BD0 (talk) 14:10, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
